Age of Characters

Hey. I havent seen this film and Im trying to watch as many '80s movies focused on high schoolers as possible since it was the decade for it. Can anyone tell me what the ages of the characters are supposed to be in this film? If it is not said, do most infer they are post HS age or HS age? Thanks

its definately post High School though they never give an actual age, i think Eva is younger(i.e. 16 or so), but the main character is older than the High School age.
