Mine is probably "More Songs About Buildings and Food." Though it's kind of hard to pick ONE because the very early ones are so much different than the later ones. But this one has several of my favorites, especially "Found a Job" and "The Big Country."

It's a tie between '77 and Fear of Music for me.

REMAIN IN LIGHT

Remain in Light wins. The Great Curve is one of the ten most danceable songs of all time.

Fear of Music and '77 also rule.

gotta go with remain in light. all of their albums with eno were amazing, but the third in the trilogy takes the cake for me.

Definately! REMAIN IN LIGHT.
Saw them 1980 or 1981 -can't remember exactly- in the venue-location Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany. Iwill never forget Adrian Belew's wide open eyes and his lasting grining in his crow-face darting back n forth over his lean and jerking body... the equipment looked partly like scrap from the street. and the complete audience of over 5000 people was dancing, jumping, rocking, rolling, singing, cheering and screaming, full of rhythms n vibes. we where all CROSSEYED AND PAINLESS in this boiling HOUSE IN MOTION! This was an event what comes ONCE IN A LIFETIME! THE OVERLOAD was never so close, but the HEAT GOES ON.

I want this back! But ...

...I'm still waiting... ha-ha-ha ...I'm still waiting... ha-ha-ha ...I'm still...

REMAIN IN LIGHT.

I wish I could erase it from my memory and learn it again.

I wish 9 b-sides would be discovered for a "Remain In Light Two."

Seriously.

The Name Of This Band is my favourite followed by 77, but if we're talking just studio albums, 77 followed by Little Creatures.

reply

Let's see... I really enjoyed 77, but I prefer Fear of Music. All Talking Heads albums are pretty good though, it's hard to pick just one.

reply

I like Speaking In Tongues and Reamin in Light
Naive melody (SIT) and Once in A Lifetime(RIL)= AWESOME

this is my signature
plain and simple

REMAIN IN LIGHT.

(I think it's funny that another poster felt the need to state the same in all-CAPs with no further comment also, in effort to say, "it stands on its own.")

reply

yes indeed
but i also thought Speaking in Tongues was also as awesome
it is very hard to split the two because they both contain two of the greatest songs done by the Talking Heads

everyone wants to get to the bar
and the name of the bar?
the bar is called Heaven

reply

got to go with fear of music on this one.....though all of their first 5 records have a lot of amazing things to offer.

reply

REMAIN IN LIGHT. oh god, that album is so good. my second favorite is probably fear of music, but i've been listening to '77 and little creatures a lot lately, too.
