Whats your favourite moment from the concert?

For me its during "Once in a lifetime" after the arm chopping section and byrne bends backward and the really gorgeous lush keyboard section comes in as he,edna holt and lynn maybry start to rise slowly back up to standing position. The whole spectacle and sound of it gives me chills. whats everyone else's favourite moment???

That's my favorite part too. I'd love to have photo of that.

The entire concert is awesome, but it's my favourite too.

Glad you ask, there is some screencaps+some fx (composing + "long exposure") from a supposed BR-rip (just an upscale):

It's my favourite moment too, really gives me goosebumps just as he starts leaning backwards and kind of tripping out. Burning down the House has a great moment when everyone's dancing around and it cuts to the guitarist and the two girls dancing in synch too, the band just look like they're having so much fun. Amazing film.

Rachael: Do you mind if I smoke?
Deckard: It won't affect the test.

Yeh i thought the girls' dancing and playing and singing were all great. The strobe light dancing section during "genius of love" was really trippy i thought.

There was a shot of Bernie Worrell at the last track I think. He did a gesture with his nose and quickly looked back. Does this have something to do with drugs ;)

That was funny, but no comparison to the other great moments.

Lunch I'm with you. I can't state it any better than you can.

Definitely the lamp dance scene, when he almost forgets his que for the "ah oooh" part in Naive Melody.

reply

David dancing with the floor lamp in "Naive Melody".

Well at least there weren't any flipper babies!

It's obviously when they cut to Alex Weir during "Burning Down the House" right when they say "shake down". He says it in such a hilarious deep voice, but he's also totally into it. That whole song is amazing, the whole band is so happy.

Odd man out answer:

When the music to "Making Flippy-Floppy" finally synchs up (sort of) with the words on the screen behind them -- JUST BEFORE DINNER, LATE AT NIGHT, WHEN YOU'RE ASLEEP, etc.

reply

Yep: Mine, too!!!

My favorite moment is the ending of Life During Wartime when David Byrne runs around the stage. I also really like it when he dances with the lamp during the end of This Must Be the Place.

reply

Burning Down the House is so driving, just an incredible effort, so tight! Naive Melody is also incredible, especially with the lamp dance.
