A Starman baby story

I first saw Starman on its original run in 1984 and loved it. A few years later I met my wife-to-be. We were married in 1989. In the summer of 1991 we traveled from California to Texas for her brother’s wedding. As we were driving back to California, we were looking for interesting tourist places to visit. I remembered Starman and the final scene in Winslow, so we stopped at the crater. We spent time walking around it and taking some pictures. When we got home in California, we found out my wife was pregnant! We realized we’d been at the crater but didn’t know at the time she was pregnant. I thought it was an interesting parallel to the movie.

We’re still married and have two grown daughters.
