This quote from the Starman has stuck with me ever since I first saw this film back in the 80's

"You are a strange species. Not like any other. And you'd be surprised how many there are. Intelligent but savage. Shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you? You are at your very best when things are worst."

Nice quote, especially since SciFi canon says that most exterrestials think that we're a bunch of maniacs that they should either destroy or keep the hell away from.
