a forgotten movie

Ah Slayground, a forgotten movie from the 80's that no one appriciates.

Anyway, I'd like to add, if anyone will every read this, that there is a cool scene where a cuda in fanged around (thats a car for those not versed in muscle car history).

I loved this film in the 80's man

I put it in my Netflix Q because Kelli Maroney makes an appearance in it. The movie is disjointed and the hero is a bit unlikeable, but if you're nostalgic about 80's film noir styled movies, this one is worth a watch. Some cool old muscle cars (I saw a 74 Dodge Charger, but no Cuda and what I think was a `67 Mustang). It's got some suspense, but seems to leave a lot of good possible plotlines unexplored and other details just totally unexplained.

A cuda in fanged around? Should be a stupido in farted aground.

Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it.

Well that dodge charger scene was a really cool (its what i meant when i said cuda).

On the whole, the movie didn't quite hit the mark but it's still a little watchable. I can see what the writers and directors were trying to do with it.

Also, sorry for my spelling mistake back then. Suppose it was worthwhile to get a reply after 5 years :)

Not for nothing but there isn't really much to recommend this, rather than asking why is this forgotten? The 80's I always felt wasn't really a good time for movies, I mean you do have classics that were made in the decade but overall movies from this time period don't hold up that well. One can always tell an 80's type of flick, it has that certain dated, cheesy feel to it. 70's movies seem to hold up a lot better by comparison but still as far as "Slayground" goes, I mean it was not even a "B" movie, I'd call it a "C-" and that's being very nice.

When I was watching this for the first time, two out of the 3 guys involved in the robbery and the accident who killed the little girl, got killed in the first 20 minutes, and I was like "well that's the whole movie almost done right there" what else are they going to fill the rest of the plot up with? It's not the worst film I saw but c'mon it's kinda cliche, even by todays standards.

You have the rich ruthless money/power mogul who want's his daughter avenged at any cost, even if it is wrong to do which it was & you have the not shown, shadowy super killer from hell who bests everyone of course and you have the not that bad of a guy main character who you can still root for. This movie came and went, I guess among a certain niche of people it has cult film status but truly it's not a movie that deserves to be remembered for any good reason.

I saw Slayground on video in about 1984 and didn't see it again until on late night Sydney TV on last Saturday night. Interesting locations and unusual realistic look to film. New York and England both looked very cold, overcast and grey. Unusual casting of the late Philip Sayer as the unseen killer.
