Is this movie any good?

Depends on what type of movies you like. It is very similar to other 80s slasher flicks. It's a little campy and a somewhat goofy at times, but overall, the tone is pretty dark. There is nudity, and quite a bit of violence. Some pretty original kills thrown in there also.

I enjoyed it, 6/10 for me. It does slow down from time to time, but if you like other slashers from that time period, you should enjoy it.

It's worth a viewing once if you're intrigued by the movie poster and its reputation, but I guarantee you'll feel disappointed if you think this might be on the level of a 'Halloween' or 'A Nightmare On Elm Street'. For starters, it's not scary at all. The killer only goes on his killing spree for about 20 minutes and there is zero tension. It's mostly one big missed opportunity. There are some effective ingredients in the mix for a successful slasher, but it's got some long stretches of drudgery that just kill it (the orphanage scenes were yawn inducing). Great poster tho.

No, it's not a good movie. I like it though, for its trashiness.

Its a fairly standard slasher movie, with a Christmas backdrop. There isnt much more to it than that. If that interests you, you might enjoy it. If not, you will probably hate it.

I just watched it for the first time today. Might include it in my future December/Christmas movie schedule.

I think it's wonderful. I've seen it 5 times now and it never gets old. As a matter of fact, I consider it a must-watch in December. It wouldn't be the Christmas season without it.
