Throughout this movie, I was thinking to myself, "What happened to Billy's baby brother/sister who was in the beginning of the movie?" Did he/she get killed by the Santa murderer? Did the murderer just leave the baby there to die of dehydration? What happened to the baby? Does anyone know?

shareBilly is outside at one point with two other boys and Mother Superior calls him over.
One asks him, "Billy, what's wrong?"
The other boy replies, "your brother's a nutcase. That's what's wrong."
This clues us in that Billy's brother (Ricky) is alive and at the orphanage. However, I think that it is excusable to have missed this. Even the boy at the end ("Naughty") could very well have been another boy at the orphanage...I'm sure others were scarred by Mother Superior's punishments and seeing two Santas die.

Billy's brother Ricky is seen numerous times throughout the film. He defends his brother, is well behaved, and doesn't appear traumatized by the death of his parents because he was a baby and should have no memory of it. But Ricky is the child at the end, staring angrily at Mother Superior. "Naughty."
Ricky returns in 2 and 3. There is a Ricky in 4 and 5 I think, but it's not the same character.
