I simply love this movie... and Only and ONLY amitabh could've done this role...Amazing screen presence, dialogue delivery, body language and even when he's just smiling we can feel how empty the character from inside and totally void of happiness .. but when he falls in love with the dancer , his same smile just tells us wihtout any words that he's found something to live for.. The movie brought tears to my eyes..

Hats off to Mr. Amitabh bachchan... The Greatest Actor In the World Ever.. And I'm not exaggerating.. Anyone beat this performance.. IMPossible!

you are right bro.If same story wold have been done by the reigning superstars of now (ie 3 khans) then the outcome wold have been totally different.Seeing this and other movies of amitabh of those days not only me everyone will feel that amitabh by all acting aspect is far far much better than the over rated actors and 3 khans of now a days.thats why he is compared with the legendary actors like al pacino,robert de nero,marlon brando etc.
