The same "All women" society is near the end of the movie and they want the men for procreation purposes. Don johnson at his best... :P
I've not seen "A Boy and his Dog", but in this film they don't want men at all; they take pills instead.
shareThe underground society in "A Boy And His Dog" are not "all women"... they want Don Johnson's character because he's from the "outside" and offers fresh DNA (IIRC).
That said, the moment in that film when he realizes that they don't plan to get what they want from him "the traditional way" is utterly hilarious!

Sexmission remined me a short novel by James Tiptree jr called "Houston, Houston, Do You Read?". This was published in 1976, some years before the movie... I wonder if the director read it. There are a lot of similarities with the movie...
