Hi.

Well, this information is found in the trivia:

"Angered Dalby inhabitants of Dalby picketed through the filming of Ronja Rövardotter at the shoot at Dalby Söderskog, claiming wild life was disturbed by the crew. The two parties settled out of court for an undisclosed sum be paid to the village's Council of Wildlife Preservation."

I don't know if the whole movie was shot there. I'll get back to you if I find out more.

the shots when we see ronja and birk jump across 'helvetesgapet' from underneath, were shot at Borrås Skåra, 60-70 kilometres south of gothenburg. i've been there, it's really cool!

right here and now!

Also shot in Fjällbacka in Sweden. The gap in the mountain is called Kungsklyftan or Ramneklovan (Korpklyftan).

Some parts is in Dalsland in Sweden

reply

some parts of it is also from "ristafallet" Jämtland

Funny, I remeber reading a "making of" book about Ronja,
and there were pictures of the castle's entrance, which was
just a set that they built.

Also, if you see castle as whole from a distance, it's pretty
obvious that it's just a model.

Hello! My name is Ann-Mari and I live in the small city of Hässleholm in the south region of Sweden called Scania (Skåne). Just outside town there is a cavesystem called Ignaberga grottor (the Caves of Ignaberga). Nearly every child who attends primaryschool in our commun (which Hässleholm is the capitol of) have sooner or later been dragged there to study fossiles from the Critatius period and are told that the caves were used to shoot parts of Ronia the robber´s daughter. It is supposed to be the scenes where Ronia diggs her way to Borka's area of the castle and ends up saving Birk from starving to death during the winter. The cavesystem is supposedly large enough to get lost in (though I don't think someone has). Visitors can besides be guided on tours and have picnics, parties and other events in some parts of it, maily during the summer months. I think there is a webpage for it, just google "Ignaberga".

and the cave seen were recorded in Tysparpsgrottan in the Ignaberga cavesystems.

Ronja's Spring scream in "mattis skogen" was recorded in Dalby Söderskog.

In Dalsand the location is Ronjaland-Sörknatten.
