If there was to be an american dub

Hypothecially, if Ronja Robbersdaughter would be dubbed and released in the US, who would do the english voices?

I think Chris Hemsworth could do Mattis' voice and Ian McKellen could do Skalle-Per. The others I I'm not sure of yet.

american? lol. chris hemsworth is australian and ian mckellen is brittish, so nothing much american about that.

dubbing takes away so much, better let it stay subtitled. I was eight, the first time i saw this movie (with subtitles). I loooooved the swedish language i was discovering with this movie. For the longest time i wanted to be swedish :-) because i thought it was such a cool language. The original language in movies really conveys part of the ambiance, atmosfere and "feel" for the place in which the story takes place. It makes you curious and tingles your imagination and makes you want to discover other countries and cultures (more specifically the countries from the movies).
You loose all that when you dubb a movie in your own language. It feels fake then (filmed in another place and yet still speaking your own language), and the foreign aspect (and the discovery of other cultures and countries) is lost for a part.

- "is this the secret headquarters of the gestapo?"
- "It was"

Okay, Hollywood dub then.
