While she's trying to cross the dangerous bridge and he's loading shells into his shotgun, he says:
"Lady, I hope you're takin' notes, 'cause you've got a real, live, Jessie goin' on right here"
At least it sounds like "Jessie". How does he know about Jessie (the hero of her books) at that point? She hadn't yet told him, at least not on-screen.
Perhaps draft screenplay versions included her explaining Jessie beforehand, but the movie screenplay didn't, and perhaps the movie continuity people missed that part.
Not complaining though! Love the movie overall.
