I have not seen this movie, only heard about it, but it is hard to find. I am particularly interested to see the boat or boats used in the movie so I can get an idea of what kind of craft they are. If any one has seen this movie and can give me some good guesses, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

The boats used in "River Rat" were "Lafitte boats" from Louisiana, wide-beamed open-cockpit boats used mostly by shrimpers down there. They were about eighteen or twenty feet long.
Seems to me they bought four, three of which were used in the movie, one of which was torn apart and used in a scene where the Plimpton character is supposed to be building a boat.
