Booger's real name is Dudley Dawson. According to the cast and crew on the DVD commentary, this was the name of the president of the University of Arizona, who was opposed to having the movie being shot there.

You are correct--the trivia on this point is wrong. Henry Koffler was president at the time this was being filmed (I was a senior at the U of A then). I believe they were referring to Dr. Dudley B. Woodard, Jr., who was a professor in the College of Education then.
