Naw ... Have you seen any H.G.Lewis films?

Or, Violent Sh!t I, II or III?

How about Peter (Lord of the Rings) Jackson's Brain Dead a.k.a. Dead Alive (The GORIEST 'B' Movie EVER!!)??
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103873/

While I found "Return of the Aliens' Deadly Spawn" to be gore filled (and one scene in particular was quite original and astounding), MANY other 'B' films are FAR gorier!

Braindead isn't a b-movie. Check out Jackson's Bad Taste, also pretty gory and low budget b-movie stuff

I'm marking my spot here 'cause I remember watching this back in '88 and thinking how awesome it was. A few days ago, by some weird brain synapse thing, I recalled this movie and here I am now. I wonder if I can get the dvd...

my dad actually had the pleasure of seeing this in the movie theater back in 1982 or 83

how lucky you are, to have seen this in the theater!!! I love this movie. It is just the perfect oddball horror flick. and i also like the granny scene.

I would love to rent a theater and show some of these movies on the big screen! even if it was a private screening or some kind fest..

becareful of what you wish for...It may come true.

This film's gleefully graphic and excessive over-the-top gore greatly enhanced its overall entertainment value. I especially dug the hilarious sequence with the baby aliens attacking a bunch of old ladies.

Carpenter's "The Thing" is not a b-movie.

Now, I'd comfortablly say that I am a master of obscure movies. Whereas "The Deadly Spawn" is not the goriest b-movie I've ever seen, it is certainly in the top five. Mostly because alot of the gore is so over-the-top that it borderlines a comedic b sense, much like "Braindead" does.

Whats the Goriest B-Movie You Seen slimer-3 ????

reply

Hard to say on alot of accounts.
First you really have to think about "b-movie" criteria. Do you mean just a low budget movie, or one in the same general budget-range as this one? Also you have to consider what "gory" is... I mean, what? Realistically gory? Comedy-gore? Or just sheer nastiness... lots of factors there.
But, as far as b-movies as a whole are concerned, this one was VERY gracious with the gore, and that, my friends, I approve.

Right, as far as production value, this is much more a "B-movie" than Dead Alive or Evil Dead. And it is pretty gory, that scene with the mother's head is brilliant.

It's up there, like slimer-3 said, it really depends on your criteria.
