Much thanks!

I visited L.A. countless times as a kid, and now that I'm older, next time I go to the city of angels, it is my job to visit these locations where they filmed many of these memorable classics.

Repo Man is one of those films where the settings are just as important as the story itself.

Cool I get down to LA once and awhile I will have to check these out.

Thanks for posting that. Was watching Repo Man earlier and noticed the Orpheum theater was playing Staying Alive and 48 HRS (at S Broadway and E 9th).

The marquee also indicated SPOKEN IN ENGLISH 

I think that's a church now?

Thanks so much for making this! I spent a lot of time up in LA around this time so i recognized a few of the areas but this is the whole pancake. Downtown LA in the 80s was a complete turd yard compared to how it was in the 40s and 50s as seen in noir and cop films.

This video was made about a year ago. I wonder if he used that map.

Actutally I'm guessing he probably did all his own homework, he's done tons of videos of 80s LA movie locations, and he covers a few Repo locations that aren't on the google map.

e.g. I had no idea for 25 years I lived half a block away from the spot where Archie opens the trunk and gets vaporized. Right outside the Silverlake Lounge on Sunset & Silver Lake Blvd. (Technically Sunset & Reno, but Reno is an alley, not a proper street) That club made it into GTA5 too, renamed the 'Mirror Park Tavern.' Apparently it was called 'The Cave' when they shot the movie.
