Twister references this!

I'm sure y'all know it, but how is their no thread that examines the why and the how?

Obviously Dusty and Beltzer were fans of the movie, and they do get into tense situations on a regular basis.

So was someone from 'Repo Man' involved in the production of 'Twister'? Was there a reason, or just to reference an obscure B movie that was pretty awesome IMHO?

Please let me know your thoughts.
