Best things about the movie

1. Lots of great old American cars; I remember them well. The first car I ever drove was a 1968 Pontiac Bonneville.

Yes, they burned a lot of gas, didn't have modern safety features, were hard to drive on twisty roads or in city traffic - but something like that red Cadillac El Dorado will never be built again.

Interesting that the criminal punks have a Toyota.

2. Location filming of Los Angeles at its most scabrous. (I wonder how La La Land depicts it.)

3. Harry Dean Stanton, Tracey Walter, Sy Richardson and others.


I absolutely love seeing all those Los Angeles locations (this isn't in my top 5 L.A. films of all time for nothing). And really, everything else about the movie is marvelous.
