Australian movie-makers can entertain audiences in 1984 by suggesting that giant pigs can kill children, without question, yet the Australian nation of the early 1980s couldn't accept that a dingo killed Azaria Chamberlain, until it was finally accepted over 30 years later. Whatever compensation the Chamberlain family got was not enough. Incredible.

Wild dogs, no, of course.
Giant piggies, absolutely.

I remember that when the 'dingo took my baby' happened - one of the first things the mother said was something along the lines of 'they should put a monument up for my baby'.
