The new blu ray is awesome!

I picked up a copy of the blu ray yesterday. The extras from the R4 DVD have been carried over but there's a great addition - 90 mins of interviews shot for the doco Not Quite Hollywood which weren't used. Screenwriter Everett De Roche (R.I.P.) even makes an appearance. Highly recommended for all RB fans!

Can't wait to see it. The new 90 minute interview footage is worth the price alone :)

What is the link to purchase this blu ray? None show up on Amazon US.
I have an Australian import blu that could look a lot better.

It's the Oz BD the OP is referring to; it's still the only one available.

I have it and while it's by far the best way to see the film, unfortunately it has an interlaced, not progressive, transfer...

And the most disappointing thing about that is that it's a PAL transfer that was done with the DVD in mind, which means the 4% speed-up is baked into the transfer.

Frustrating. Losing that 4% speed-up (in audio pitch as well as in video) was the main reason I went from DVD to Blu-ray in the first place. The pitch change makes everything sound slightly off.

Plus ... well, I have to add that I really dislike the new colour palette. I regard this current fad for adding teal washes throughout the visual spectrum of a Blu-ray transfer as total lunacy; it makes the end result far less pleasant to watch.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

A new blu ray is coming next year. A friend of mine is on a panel discussion about the film (not sure about the other extras or a release date).
