Murray goes on a 'spiritual odyssey'...


... and, while it might be an interesting trip for both character and actor, it's mostly just dull for the audience until we finally near the moments of resolution. I can see that this was a necessary journey to undergo when you look at how it might have aided Bill the performer, though. Without this, no Oscar nom all those years later for Lost in Translation?!

There seemed a lot of unnecessary meandering waiting for this point to be made, too; but it was also interesting at the conclusion to ponder how an individual's 'social circle' can exert the pressure of conformity upon them. I just wished the movie could have conveyed this message with a larger helping of 'intellectual dynamism', that's all! 4/10.
