Darryl Hannah - Horrendous actress

OMG - I had to fast forward through every scene with her in it. HOW did this woman have an acting career???? Having her in scenes opposite such a phenomenal talent as mickey Rourke just emphasized how badlly she sucks as an actress

I also thought she was the weaker, more miscast supporting actor in POGV. I just borrowed the novel from the library so I want to see if she's the same cliche cool-guy-accessory-aerobics-girlfriend in the book and how Charlie hooked up with her. I'm trying to think who in 1984 would have been good for the role, with a little more edge and presence...any ideas?

I could see Debra Winger carrying off the role quite well. I don't think Darryl Hannah is a horrendous actress, but she's clearly miscast here and her scenes with Mickey Rourke are awkward because he's so much more convincing here.

Yeah, she had a fine ass and they showed it several times in POPE. Yummy.

I watched this movie years ago when it first came out. I thought she was a terrible actress then, and I just watched POGV again tonite and my feelings about her haven't changed. She is one of the worst actresses I have ever seen and I have seen nearly every decent movie since the 1930s.
