Seen 1 and 2, any others worth watching?

I rated the first an 8 and the second a 7 but I'm a bit apprehensive about the rest given that they're all PG and each one has a lower IMDb rating than the one before. This is not a question to people who hate all of them (which you're entitled to do but seriously why would anyone come back for more if they thought the first one was rubbish) but if you're a fan of at least some of the movies what ones do you like and what ones should be avoided? Currently I'm thinking that I might watch them in order until I hit one that I rate a 5 or lower then I might think that given the fact that I mentioned about each one having a lower rating than the one before, I might not bother. What I'd like to know however is if you enjoyed 1 and 2, is there a significant drop in quality for 3? If you're a fan of some of the movies did you find there was a cut off point where you wouldn't recommend going past?

The humour in number 3 is slightly more slapstick, but there's still plenty of laughs - and some of the funniest parts of the whole series I think.

4 and 5 are both worth watching. 6 and 7 I would miss out entirely.

Part 3 and 4 are good. I favor part 4 more than 3 because Harris comes back, and it's got the best mix of characters. I never warmed to Mauser. He seemed like a poor Harris substitute.

Part 5 is watchable. Part 6 and 7 you should avoid.

Part 6 actually has a plot and feels like a proper sequel (in other words, ignore PA 2 to 5 and skip right to 6).

3 is my favourite of all the sequels, I'd definitely watch that.
4 & 5 both have their moments and are certainly entertaining (I prefer 5 to 4).
6 isn't great, but is watchable and has a couple of laughs.

7 is the pits. Complete trash. Don't waste 90 minutes of your life on it.

Did you even read the OP's post? Why are you telling him to avoid Part 2 when he already said he WATCHED part 2.

Seen 3 since I started this thread, it was a 6 for me, don't think I'll bother with any more.

Part 4 is my favorite sequel. Mostly because of the soundtrack The rock and Pop soundtrack is good, the skateboarders and the climax with the planes and hotair ballons is cool.

Part 3 is also very good. Each time i see Lake Ontario in Canada. I think about this movie. I live like 7 hours away where this movie was filmed.

I agree with the other posters. Part 6 is the best sequel without Guttenberg in it. The money shot is good in this one too with the big bigfoot truck.

I like them all but if i was to put them in order it would be

1,2,4,3,6,5,7 for me

I thought 3 was a pretty good film, I would skip the rest of the sequels.

5, 6 and 7 are pretty bad, unless you like terrible movies that make no sense.

I thought 3 was a good film and the last good Police Academy movie of the bunch, I give it a 7/10

I've done it with Human Centipede just out of curiosity lol. But yeah, I see your point.

Tu answer your question: I'd watch the first 6. While there is a drop in quality after the third movie, they still have their moments.
