Yanni 'borrowed' a portion of music from this score

By pure accident, I revived some back to 80's movie memories while in mercy of winter holidays. Go to the rain scene, or to be exact scene : 00:41:31

I wont use the word "stole" but this is so brutally evident! The very exact "tremolo" piano, the very exact harmony and arrangements to match. The first 45 seconds, almost exact piece of music!

Yanni's track is called "Port of Mystery" (Keys to Imagination Album) release date of this album = 1986

Release date of this movie/score : 1984

Please listen for yourself and compare Yanni's track with Pierre Bachelet and Bernard Levitte's music score from this scene = identical first 45 seconds !

Sometimes these things can result as as pure accident. But that means having the very exact idea, hm? To be even more evident, Yanni prominently used water in the opening; while here we have the rain. This is just too much ;)

I Just uploaded this scene on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQzmB7WwqcY
