I saw the film when it was first released in the U.S. in it's initial 'limited" release (the full uncut version, which was prior to the later "wide' release version that got horribly butchered & shortened)i was never once bored,or thought it to be too long.Have watched it many times since then.IMO,a masterful story & outstanding performances throughout & stellar direction from Sergio Leone.

It's not to everyone's taste,understandably.

I just purchased this and watched about 30 minutes this morning. Is it just the beginning that seems confusing, meandering and slow?

You never know when you may have to jam

The beginning is slow and confusing but you got to watch the whole movie, Maybe more than once, to get it and appreciate it.

I have watched the full version of this movie upwards of 20 times. I never get tired of it and would NEVER describe any element as boring.

Every time the movie is over before I know it, and I wish it was longer.

i would expect my 5 year old granddaughter to say that

I beg to differ. Sure, staring at a screen for more than 3 hours can get a little tiring... but not when it comes to this film. I for one, love every minute of it.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

I loved it. Yes it takes a bit of time but it is a movie that makes you feel. If it was 8 hours long I would still enjoy it - maybe even more.

True. This was a long film. I was around when it came out in 1st run theatres and went to watch it. Back then they used to have intermissions in theatres. This one had 3 I think. You would get up and go have a smoke or get some pop corn.

I liked it better that way. These days some long films (Lord of the RIngs films) are very long and its really hard to sit through the entire film to watch it.

Can this really be the end..to be stuck inside of mobile
with the Memphis blues again.
