When are they going to do a cut of Leone's 269 minute version?
Read about this a few yrs back said Scorcese wanted to help his kids buy up the rights -- any news about this?

I thought the Extended Cut was a product of Scorcese's 'Help' in restoring this film.
I know these was originally something like 9 hours of film but, I was led to believe a lot of it was lost...
In the Extended Cut you can see where they 'added' scenes.
They are Grainy and from my understanding this was the best they could do with what they had to work with...
So is that the final release? I only ever heard they wanted to do further restoration work on it.
