That's kind of messed up

So Bobby wants to die, God beats the Devil at poker to save Bobby, but they just let Billy die? So basically Bobby caused Billy's death, but who cares, it's all warm fuzzies. Terrible ending to a mediocre movie.

Well not exactly. Billy originally sold his soul to the devil under a 7 year contract. Bobby had a trial period on his contract, so God was able to bargain for him.
