I thought he loved his wife...

Just watched this for the first time in nearly 15 years. I thought this was spposed to be a love story. Bobby wants to be with his wife. When he was Billy, he had no problem sleeping with multiple women. I get that a menage a trois is every guys fantasy, but it isn't really apropriate here.

FYI, I agree with the previous poster, I always thought Bobby looked like Rick Springfield.

That stuck out to me right away too! All I can think, is that at first he got caught up in his own fame and just gave in to temptation. But once that quickly wore off then he set his sights on what was really important and realized how much he would rather be in his old life with his wife.

You are basically right. It goes back to his first God conversation, "To me you were a star because you had decency, now your just an artifact.

I always kind of figured the devil brainwashed him so he forgot about his "real" life. But then it comes back to him later.
