I GET IT!

I Watched it, and I Get what the film was all about!

It had a classic feel to it with a futuristic slant. this film could have been made in the early 1930's when they made such films as "Just Imagine!"

The B&W and Color mix evokes not only "Wizard of Oz",but also "A Matter of Life and Death" (Where the real world was color, and Heaven was B&W) the B&W parts had a clear noir feel about them.

The length of the film also evokes the length of films for the time period - 83 minutes.

The "journey of discovery" our character takes also is a classic film structure. discovering his true talent, his art, was there from the beginning is a oft use plot as well.

In the world of the film, EVERYTHING made sense.
