okay, either I'm wrong or I've been totally oblivious to this for decades...

according to one online source, Director Jerry Schatzberg married an actress named Maureen (Ann) Kerwin in 1983... could the actress who played the prostitute, Maureen Ann Schatzberg, be his wife?

the IMDB bio for Maureen Ann Kerwin is spartan but she is in the correct age range as Maureen Ann Schatzberg in this film

I would say that it is a pretty good guess that Maureen Ann is the director's wife.
