i got this film at a thrift shop for 50 cents thinking it would be a movie about a killer mutant taking over a small town, but i was decieved. first of all this film is extremely slow and it has no killer mutant but rather cheap looking zombies like 65 minutes into the film. what a rip off!!
shareI liked it, but then, I don't mind a slow pace if the story is interesting or I care about the characters or what they're up to. This one held my interest on multiple fronts. Also, I didn't have any expectations from the title. It's too bad that it was retitled for promotional reasons. :-/
I give it a 6; it certainly could have been better with more budget and better lighting and a few other things, but it's a reasonable story and the last part of it really gets intense. I liked the way it kept me in the dark (so to speak) about what was going to happen to the characters.
I love this movie. I think you probably disliked it because it wasn't what you expected it to be. But I don't mind the slow pace in this film at all. It gave a chance to become better acquainted with the characters and setting. Plus, slow paces often build suspense and tension because the longer you wait for something to happen, the more you'll appreciate it when it actually does. I thought the acting in this movie was good, the characters were interesting and likable, the musical score was great, and the story was well written and suspenseful. It is one of my favorite zombie horror films. Perhaps you should give it a second chance knowing what it is like so you can enjoy it knowing what it is rather than what you expect it to be.
