I saw this movie on cable television years ago and was utterly astounded at how vile, offensive and horrible it was! And I've seen a lot of horror movies!! :)

I worked at a movie theater in high school and we showed this debacle of a movie for three weeks. Opening weekened, I had a Saturday afternoon off, so I took this rainy day and saw this piece of crap. If only I could have that ninety minutes back.
It has nothing to do with offensiveness. I am not that easily offended. What does bug me is a lousy script penned for a bunch of 1970's and 1980's stars who tried to make a come-back in this Police Academy rip-off.
An interesting note: the movie theater I worked for had a policy of refunding anyone's money if they left within 30 minutes of the start of the movie. I am not kidding when I say that Night Patrol set the record for the most refunds we ever issued in the five years I worked there.
Also, the producers of this movie actually came to the theater asking how it was doing. They did not seem too impressed they set a record.

shareI absolutely adore this hilariously idiotic piece of lowbrow schlock. It's way too blithely dumb to be deemed either "vile" or "offensive." I think it has a certain crude charm to it that's both amusing and entertaining in equal measure.

I remember watching it on VHS, some time in the 90s(I was probably in the first grade). At the local video store, my mom would let my brothers and I rent a film of our choosing(stuff like TMNT 2, Rookie of the Year, random Godzilla movies, etc) while she rented something from the comedy aisle. She'd ignore the ratings/plot and pick films based on the cover art just to get out of the store as quickly as possible. Night Patrol's was goofy enough for a speedy approval. Forty minutes into the film(Lori Sutton's nude scene), she didn't seem very amused. After that, she stopped renting from the comedy section altogether and stuck to the family aisle.
But yeah, in retrospect, the film isn't all offensive but there's just enough crude humor to piss off certain folks.
I'm a fan of B movies,& this is 1 of them.fuuuuny!!!
