Dutch Schultz?

I've seen this 'best of the baseball movies, ever' dozens of times (theatrical version), and of course, thoroughly enjoy it, each and every time. In now checking IMDB, I see that there's a character "Dutch Schultz", named. Where does he appear? I've only seen the theatrical version and don't plan on seeing the Director's Cut. In what part of the film, and in which version, does Dutch Schultz (the gangster?)appear? Thanks!
