Near the beginning, Craddock exits the hotel as Miss Marple is walking in. She greets him by name as they pass, how did she know it, as they have not met?

Craddock looks confused by this also.

If I remember correctly, she doesn't call him by name, she just greets him as Inspector. Which confuses him, yes, because as you said, they haven't met before.
This is a clue to show miss Marples shrewdness, she has met so many police officers in her life, she can tell he's an inspector just by looking at him.

I need to see 'A Murder Is Announced' again. Because I have just seen Inspector Craddock return in 'The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side.' In 'Mirror,' Craddock claims that he is Miss Marple's nephew. And the two are well acquainted in the later story. Surely if they were related, they would have greeted each other in the scene that you have mentioned in 'Announced.'

I think some artistic licence was used here. They re-wrote Inspector Craddock as being her nephew in the later episode but this definitely wasn't the case in A Murder Is Announced
