A confession: I really love this movie. Seriously under-rated.

It's sweet, endearing, and what the slap-stick really works!

Just a really earnest sweet movie.

Too bad no one has seen it.

I totally agree. I think this is one of Blake Edwards' best films.

I agree. I love how Dudley Moore has to lie and keep his polygamy a secret. There are so many comic possibilities and Blake Edwards milks them for what they are worth. A 5.8 rating is too low. It's certainly better than Edwards's Panther movies.

I can see why many people wouldn't like this movie - it's making a farce of bigamy - but that's just why people should enjoy it, because it's a farce. Had this happened in reality, both wives would have been within their rights to sue him for all he was worth and deny him the opportunity to see the children (which is what both planned to do... at first). I personally find it very charming and enjoyable if you just kind of sit back and push the "I believe" button. Sure, Rob's actions are despicable, but Dudley Moore does what Dudley Moore does best and plays him as being so likable that you can't help but root for him. I happened to catch this by chance on HBO one day and liked it so much that I bought it on DVD.
