Interviews

Does anybody know if there's any online interviews with the director, about this movie?

Semi review: On paper this movie looks like a great fun romp, but it's not. It's not bad, but seems like a wasted opportunity. Also, this is one of those movies, where nearly everyone is a recognizable face, or at least actors who you think you saw from other movies, but probably haven't. I think the funniest bit, is the scene with the twins and their parents.

Thanks, Doc. That was me - I was the twins' father, although IMDB got it wrong. I am Michael Morrison (XI) on IMDB - I don't know who Milton Ingly is (was). It was a fun movie to work on - we shot it in December, just before Christmas of 1981.

It took two years for them to release this garbage? They should've just kept it on the shelf, because it was such a waste.

Not sure if Jcrawford is remembering right (or is even legitimate), but there's no way this was made in '81. The E.T. joke alone is a tip-off as E.T., plus references to Friday the 13th, which was produced by the makers of this film after they had completed part III. And the fact that this wasn't even a Meatballs film to begin with. It was originally titled "Space Kid" and then sold to Tri-Star and renamed Meatballs Part II for obvious box-office reasons.

I could see this being filmed in 1981. It kind of feels closer to '81 than 1983/1984. This has that slight 70's feel that a lot of very early 80's movies have.

It's possible that the filmmakers knew of the huge E.T. project. and decided to throw in a parody subplot.

The stuff with Meathead's family may have been added after the fact.
