I saw it, and the image on the DVD is actually better. The colors on the DVD are more vibrant and fuller, and there's no film artifacting on the DVD, verse the bluray which has splotches of film artifacts all over the place.
The colors on the bluray are muted, the grain overwhelms the image at times. The opening shot is the best example. On the DVD it's very rich and clean, but on the bluray it's very splotchy. It was not remastered in the least.
And at a couple of the points the film skips in the gate during the transfer, leaving a blur on the image in more than once scene.
I can't recommend this to anyone who's seen either the original DVD or VHS release, and I have both.
