not that bad

Just a quick comment: it wasn't that bad, but I thought the ending was lousy.

Well it's about time someone posted a reply. I can't believe you have actually waited for one since last October!!!!

"The Lonely Guy" has been deeply forgotten. Why I don't know? That is many people do not post on this film. Nobody talks about it.

I actually had mildly heard about this film, only to be re-introduced to it on this website. I was browing through Steve Martin's back catalogue as a actor on his film, when I saw it. My goodness this film had less than 1 000 votes. I thought that wasn't possible.

Don't be fooled, this film is great. I actually went out of my way to purchase the Region 1 DVD, where low and below I discovered other Universal film trailers including one for "Parenthood".

The sequence with the dogs was among the best.

October 2003, actually!

Don't be fooled, this film is great.

I don't remember the film, so I can only rely on what I wrote about it back then, which is that it was "OK". Its average rating is 5.9. I gave it a 6.

I think it is Steve Martin and Charles Grodin's funniest movie.

I just watched it again tonight, it's been almost 20 years since i last saw it. One of my favorite Steve Martin movies. I have to disagree about the ending, i loved it, it couldnt have been better.

No way, man!!! Charles Grodin's finest hour was in Midnight Run and my vote for best Steve Martin movie is Roxanne :-)

"Don't call them ferns, call them guys."

I also like the party that Warren held with the celebrity cut outs. Too funny!
