Granny Gordon = Best parental figure EVER!

Just watched the last scene in the movie.(For the thousandth time)

"Be sure and write, or whatever it is they do up there."

I've heard more than one person say I could never let my child go at the end like she did.

Granny Gordon quickly realized that if Maggie didn't go she would spend the rest of her life wondering about that missed moment and probably blaming her, if only subconsciously. (Granny Gordon)

How many parents could put the desires and happiness of their child or children above their own fears and insecurity.
I have seen many parents that could not even turn their children loose to go live down the street.

It is tough period letting the kids go when they turn 18. I had one go in the Marines and come out alright. My younger son is in the Navy. With war going on these are nerve-wracking times. My older son is no longer in the Marines. My younger son and his wife, also in the Navy, plan to make it a career. My daughter is on the opposite side of the continent.

Kudos to you for raising what sounds like a great group of children, and being able to let go.
And thanks for their service to the country.

Well it was the least she could do after kidnapping poor Captain Christopher Pike and playing mind games with him....
