The Last Starfighter 1080p Movie Trailer

About 7 months ago. I was watching The Last Starfighter on BluRay. After I decided to check out the movie trailer that was on the disc. The trailer was in 480p and looked awful. I was thinking it would have been nice if they remade the movie trailer in 1080p. They really should remake older movie trailers when they release a movie on BluRay. It would make the whole package better.

So that's when I thought I would do it myself. So I learned how. I had a lot of fun doing it. So what I did was remake the movie trailer in 1080p using my BluRay disc. I tried my best to keep the remade trailer as close to the original as possible. I had to make some changes because some scenes used in the trailer were not in the movie. Some scenes in the trailer had more frames then the movie did. You can watch the new trailer by itself or side-by-side so you can view the old trailer and the new trailer to see what changes I made.

Damn good job. Without the side-by-side, I would not have been able to identify any differences except that yours looks about a thousand times better. The studio should probably just contact you for your source material and use your version in any future releases.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It would be nice if they did that. I would love to remake more movie trailers in 1080p. A Side note. I did post my starfighter trailer on Catherine Mary Stewart's Facebook page. They liked it so much they used my updated trailer on her new website. Also she had a contest recently to win a signed copy of a magazine she was in. I won it. Very excited about it. I hope to arrives soon.

Remaking a trailer using a compromised source isn't a good idea, the blu ray is a DNR trainwreck, really poor effort by Universal. ( again )
