Ever wanted to play 'Starfighter'?

When this movie was made, the game was going to be made into a actual game for arcade rooms but with a price tag of 10,000 a copy they felt the price to high for profit.

However if you ever wanted to play the actual Starfighter game just as Alex does in the movie

go to rogusynapse.com

you can also download and play

TRON's

Space Paranoids (the game Flynn is playing when Lora and Allen come to confront him)

lots of fun to play.

hard to beat (havent yet)

$10,000 too much for an arcade game. Obviously you never heard of Dragon's Lair by Don Bluth.

I remember Dragon's Lair. I figured it must have been more expensive, since it cost 50¢ to play instead of the usual 25¢ it cost for most video games back then.

There's no way Dragon's Lair cost $10,000. Most arcade games cost around $2000 at the time. Sources put Dragon's Lair at about double that, hence the 50¢ plays. Frankly, arcades wouldn't have been able to recoup the cost of a $10k game, especially since Starfighter would have used barely more 3D graphics than I, Robot, which cost only slightly more than $2000.
