Potential TV Series

As much as I love this film it's most certainly a cross section of a much bigger story and one which we have virtually no backstory to. The film in my mind could have easily been a good 20 minutes longer as the space battle is incredibly short.

I think it's too late for a sequel and I'd hate to see Grig recast since the wonderful Dan O' Herlihy is no longer with us and it wouldn't be the same without him but I'm thinking maybe a TV series could work really well.

It could be set right after the events of the film where Alex goes to rebuild the Star League and they could really delve into the history and backstory of The Frontier, Rylos and of course the villains who we knew virtually nothing about. If everyone was recast for the TV show then it would be more acceptable with the change of format and the film could still retain it's fountainhead status.

The movie actually left itself wide open for a sequel with the escape of Xur and of course the rebuilding of the Star League so I think if treated right a series could be amazing.

They would of course, have to keep that truly phenomenal music. Otherwise it's "game over".
