Band on the Run a representation of film's flaws

Some would call this nitpicking, but the movie picks begins in August 1973, and in an early scene we see a girl listening to "Band on the Run" on a transistor radio. Only problem is that the song wasn't released until December of 1973. In fact, it wasn't even recorded until September 1973.

I found a lot of problems with this movie and consider it a wasted opportunity. The anachronism surrounding this song by Paul McCartney & Wings to me represents the laziness, the lack of research, and shoddy production observed throughout the movie.

It's one of the best films of the 1980s. They could've had "Whip It" on the radio and I'd still cite it as such. Too bad you have to let such minor details destroy movie experiences for you.

I thought it was a fine choice, it really added to the absurdity of the scene.

Only the musically obsessed would pick out that flaw.

I wonder if McCarthy gets a royalty check if this film is shown on cable..( it was only about 10seconds)
