Can't anything just ride off gracefully into the sunset? Does everything have to be re-hashed, re-booted, re-visited?

Do we really need a Top Gun 2 over THIRTY YEARS later? Maverick and all his compadres would be long retired and flying airliners.

r5d4d2-I take it you won't be watching this then....I was really mad when they did the remake with Jackie Chan though it wasn't a direct scene to scene remake but still!
As for Top Gun-I agree we do not need a number 2 it is one of them films where it can stand alone like Flight of the Navigator, Bigfoot[Harry] + the Hendersons etc...........

I saw something about this earlier.

I don't get why they're making it a comedy. This seems like it could make for an interesting dramatic series, with the tone and feel of the original film.

Yea I read that-I feel it may have comedy elements but also serious tones to it, I doubt this will be a comedy like Cheers/Moonlighting or Only Fools + Horses etc

I dunno, man. I feel like they're going to get straight goofy with it.

30 minute episodes has always been the domain of sitcoms, so that seems to be a sign that's the direction they're going with the show.

I hope not or that would be a shame, But many other shows like Anthology shows are sometimes 30 minute episodes amongst other ones not just comedy ones......Where you from btw

Yea just a waiting game till a trailer comes out, I have been to Utah + many other states + towns like-New York, Florida, L.A, Washington D.C, New Jersey, Seattle, New Orleans, Atlanta etc
You ever been to UK?

No, I can't say I've been to the UK. I'd like to check it out one day, though.

My dad has been to Ireland and loved it.

Passport's expired unfortunately, but as you say, I'll put it on my bucket list.

Other shows, hmm. . .

I recently finished Ozark on Netflix. It was very good. I've also been watching the Hulu show The Handmaid's Tale.

I've been watching The Mist on Spike, and I do enjoy it, but it seems like I'm the only one. Most people seem to hate the show.

Also watching the latest season of Game of Thrones as well, and a few nights ago there's a new show that premiered on USA called The Sinner that I checked out. I thought the first episode was solid. It's at least compelling enough for me to watch ep 2 next week.

What about you?

Ah I have seen that advertised looks really good am goin to start watching it this weekend with my other half- I have been a fan of Jason Bateman since a kid in the 80's when he was in shows like Silver Spoons + The Hogan Family!

Oh yea The Handmaids Tale- I remember my cousin used to read the Novel that to me as a kid in the 80's-Seen it advertised + also looks alright but will def watch it at some point

The Mist-Really like Stephen King stuff-His Books/Novels + Mini Series/TV Shows........I must admit the film version with Thomas Jane I thought was rubbish....The Novel was really good though...Will watch the series soon I just watch so much films + TV shows lol

I tried Game of Thrones couldn't get in to it, Heard of The Sinner-Has Jessica Biel in it right read it in a magazine it is a 8 parter....Seems they haven't distributed it to other countries yet which is annoying!

Zoo, Timeless, 3%, Beyond, Mr Robot, etc etc
