She was so totally gorgeous and sweet in this. It always bugged me how the producers were trying to "hide the goods" so to speak - they always had her wearing extra layers so her amazing chest wouldn't distract us from the plot. I followed her career forever after this.

I loved her, but hate how they basterize her character in the sequel by saying she was using Daniel to get a college guy and to get her ex off her back. I know it was the original ending but it would've made this film terrible in my opinion and she didn't seem that way at all.

You can't trust Daniel La Russo. He lied repeatedly through the films. Perhaps he did something to ruin the relationship, and he made up that story to save face in front of Miyagi.

She's the reason I watch this movie so frequently. You can see her nipping in the scene where Daniel is being chased by Johnny's bros during the Halloween dance.

Me too. Even though her look in this movie is dated now, rewatching it recently brought back memories of how she was practically my first crush as a kid. And seeing her first date with Daniel became my sort of idealized expectation of what my first girlfriend would be like.
I actually liked her friend a lot better, she was a lot cuter, the dark haired girl named Susie.
