Ugh Bad

I actually watched this....once. It was terrible. What the hell were they thinking?

Its a matter of taste. Personally I loved the 80s-ness of the film, the bad special effects only make me more fond of it. The acting is great, and the way story can be understood in a literal way or as a metaphor for corporate life is genius.

I disagree. I thought this made-for-TV film offered a neat critique on the quintessentially 80's upwardly mobile yuppie obsession with power, success, and material gain that folks in this case would literally sell their souls to obtain. Moreover, Robert Urich made for a likable protagonist and Susan Lucci has a ball with her juicy femme fatale role.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"

Yes, this was an obvious critique of yuppiedom -- too obvious and heavy-handed for me, especially with the preachy all-you-need-is-love ending.

I remember when this debuted...I laughed 'til I cried. And to think, THIS was nominated for a prime-time Emmy??!

Butt out of this or I’ll strip the hide off your cherry picker!

Thoroughly boring movie. There is zero suspense. I spent more time laughing at it. I kept saying every 5 minutes, "That's so 80s." This movie is actually a science fiction movie, rather than a horror movie. The title of the film makes it seem like a horror movie.

I've always loved the ending of this film (when he goes to save his family). This is a guilty-pleasure-80s-cheese flick.
