inuit song?!

hi all,

its been ages since i saw iceman but i remember it very fondly. i think its a remarkable film!
if i do remember correctly, there is a song in it sung by elderly inuit ladies about an ancient legend about "iceman", am i right? and does it exist for real? (the legend, i mean.)

Why has Edward Woodward got four 'd's' in his name?
Because otherwise he'd be Ewar Woowar.

i don't know about the song but the word he uses for the bird (pee-ta) sounds alot like the Blackfeet word for eagle

I just saw Iceman. The impression I got from the film was that in the religion of those Inuit individuals, there is a spiritual bird-like being that brings messages to and from the gods. According to Shephard's theory, there is a similar figure in Charlie's religion, and Charlie believed that the research station's helicopters were this bird-being. I don't recall that they mentioned an Inuit legend about an Iceman. I also don't know if any of the legends mentioned in the film are real, or if they were simply developed as plot devices for the story.
