Second confrontation scene

After the caveman is re-frozen temporarily for a medical experiment, he confronts Shephard and points a spear at himself. I'm a little lost. Was he accusing Shephard of violating him earlier or was he requesting assisted suicide?

There are two scenes where he confronts Shepard. The first is after one operation when he was accusing Shepard of doing stuff to him. Shephard yells back his denial that it wasn't him. There is a later scene where Charlie literally puts the sharp end of his spear against his chest and indicates he wants Shephard to kill him. Shephard refuses to do this.

"My name is Paikea Apirana, and I come from a long line of chiefs stretching all the way back to the Whale Rider."

I am more than certain that it was the same scene. I don't recall them being separate. How later is later?
