Low 'spank' factor.

I really enjoy 80's B-movies, especially Sword & Sorcery types. I was expecting Hundra to be a great date movie for me and "little willy", but there was hardly any nudity. I was expecting Hundra be more like Barbarian Queen, with ample gratuitous nudity. On a positive note the movie actually has some nicely filmed scenes and locations. The opening scene of Hundra's village being attacked was pretty good and the following chase/fight scene where Hundra takes on 15 warriors (I was hoping for her to "take them on" in a different way) were good. After a scene where she is attacked by a midget (for no reason), she rides her horse nude in the ocean (the scene is over-lit and out of focus), from there the movie goes nowhere. As a novelty Hunda was o.k. to watch once, but there are numerous better Sword & Sorcery movies.

I agree. To me, the scene with the midget was a big-lipped-alligator-moment (look the term up at TV Tropes) that had nothing else to do with the plot. Also, there were 16 warriors that Hundra fought plus that old, horned-helmet-wearing guy that simply nodded to her, put on his helmet, and rode away from her only to be never seen again.

Later Hundra is seen nude (Breasts, nipples, and vagina) several times throughout the film and is subject to various forms of sexual abuse.

That's a quote from the content advisory section. I don't know what movie that contributor was watching but I don't remember seeing her nude at all except for the brief horseback riding scene on the beach.

Unless the version I saw was censored.

Overall the movie is terrible and not in a good way. The only aspect of the movie I did like was the musical score.

Long live the 70s!

I find that "advisory" a bit suspect. The movie length here on IMDB is listed at "90 min | 109 min". I've seen the 109 minute version, and the only nudity is a bit of very brief boob shots of Hundra's sister as she gets attacked early in the movie, and the later scene of Hundra on horseback in the ocean. Oh, and few shots of naked girls swimming, and being attacked by the men in the temple. Those are fleeting, though, and don't explain the advisory you quoted.

If there is a longer version of the film, IMDB doesn't know about it.

reply

I must agree that advisory is a bit much, i have only seen this movie once and it is not as over the top as suggested

Interesting thread. Had never heard of this, but was just looking at the blu-ray on the Dark Force Entertainment site. I love a good sleazy sword & sandal flick with gratuitous nudity, but this doesn't sound like it would really deliver. I'll pass for now.
